AhnLab, Inc., founded in 1995, is a security software provider in South Korea. AhnLab sells computer software such as antivirus software, online security, network security appliances such as Advanced Threat (Malware) Detection & Remediation, including APT type of cyber attack, firewalls, IPS, UTM, and security software for online games and the mobile web.

History

Establishment of AhnLab

Ahn Cheol-Soo (founder) found his computer infected with the computer virus called (c)brain. He developed a program to find and remove it and named it "Vaccine". Since then, anti-virus software has been called "Vaccine software" in Korea. He distributed the antivirus program to the public without charge, until he established AhnLab in 1995. Dr. Ahn promoted his new company in 1995.

Expansion

Since its founding in 1995, AhnLab has become one of the largest security software companies over 50% of market share in the Korean security market alone and approximately 500 distributors worldwide. In September 2001, AhnLab was listed in the KRX: 053800. Headquartered in Seongnam-Si, Gyeonggi-Do, South Korea, AhnLab is traded on the KOSDAQ under the symbol AhnLab.

Corona is an Italian eurodance act, fronted by Olga Maria De Souza. Originally produced by Francesco "Checco" Bontempi (a.k.a. Lee Marrow) (1st-2nd album), it found success in 1993 with the worldwide hits ”The Rhythm of the Night” and “Baby Baby”. Later producers include Francesco Conte and Paolo Dughero.

History

"The Rhythm of The Night"

Debut single was "The Rhythm of the Night", released in Italy in November 1993 on Roberto Zanetti’s DWA record label, and became an instant hit. It stayed at number 1 on the Italian music chart for eight consecutive weeks. However, the song was not released elsewhere until the following year. A remixed version of the song became a number 2 hit in the United Kingdom in September 1994.

Like several early 1990s Eurodance/Hi-NRG songs that eventually became American hits, such as "Get Ready For This", "Twilight Zone" and "Tribal Dance" by 2 Unlimited and "Strike It Up", "I Don't Know Anybody Else" and "Everybody Everybody" by Black Box, "The Rhythm of The Night" did not become popular in the United States until well after its success had peaked in Europe. However, by spring 1995, the song was all over American radio and clubs, eventually reaching #11 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Miguel Ángel García Pérez-Roldán (born 12 February 1981), known as Corona, is a Spanish professional footballer who plays for A-League club Brisbane Roar FC usually as an attacking midfielder.

Club career

Real Madrid / Zaragoza

Corona was born in Talavera de la Reina, Toledo. A product of La Liga powerhouse Real Madrid, he played for their C and B-teams, the latter competing in the third division.

Corona was signed by Real Zaragoza in January 2001, but only appeared in 33 top flight games for the Aragonese over the course of four seasons, with loans in the second level in between (one full season with Polideportivo Ejido, six months with Albacete Balompié).

Almería

In 2006–07 Corona was loaned again, now to UD Almería, being instrumental in the Andalusia side's first-ever promotion to the top level and reuniting with former Zaragoza teammate Fernando Soriano. The move was made permanent for the following campaign, and both players were instrumental as the club went on to finish eighth in its maiden season in the main category.

Pan is popular for its large feature set. It passes the Good Netkeeping Seal of Approval 2.0 set of standards for newsreaders.

Name

The name Pan originally stood for Pimp-ass newsreader. As Pan became an increasingly popular and polished application, the full name was perceived to be unprofessional and in poor taste, so references to it have been removed from the program and its website.

Pan (horse)

Pan (1805 – circa 1822) was a British Thoroughbred racehorse and sire. In a career that lasted from June 1808 to July 1814 he had six different owners, ran twenty times and won nine races. His most important success came on his only appearance as a three-year-old in 1808 when he won the Derby as a 25/1 outsider. Pan won another eight races over the next four seasons, running mainly in match races at Newmarket. He raced for two more years without success before being retired as a nine-year-old in 1814.

Background

Pan's dam Arethusa, who was bred by the Prince of Wales, was one of the most successful broodmares of her era: apart from Pan she produced the leading stallion Walton the Derby winner Ditto and the Ascot Gold Cup winner Lutzen. Pan's sire St. George finished fifth in the 1792 Derby and raced up to the age of ten, winning many matches and Plate races. Pan was his most successful offspring. Pan was owned in his early racing career by his breeder, Sir Hedworth Williamson of Whitburn, near Sunderland.
